Description

Sh2-112/115 and Abell 71

These rarely imaged objects are faint emission nebulae in the outskirts of the milky way plane in the constellation Cygnus. Both sharpless objects are classified as emission nebulae and might be related to ongoing star formation processes. However, Abell 71 seems to be an old and fainter Planetary Nebula. A terrible low surface brightness requires very long exposure times to capture these objects with an acceptable SNR depth of the image.

This is the first process (in the SHO palette) of the large and challenging data set using the Starnet++ tonemapping method. There will be future versions, where different approaches are followed. Unfortunately It did not really work up to now, to get the RGB star colors onto the NB stars.
